I take a gander at Friday's edition of the Grand Rapids Press, and what do I see on the front page? No news, certainly.
Above the fold are headlined the debut of two-star movie, a feature about a woman boxer, and a tabloid bit on Martha Stewart. Below the fold is a non-story about record high gasoline prices. I take that back, it's not a non-story. It's a false story, because today's prices are nowhere near the record high for gasoline if inflation is taken into account.
Meanwhile the river of corruption continues to snake through town while Gaydou's toothless watchdog gets the scoop at the West Michigan Home and Garden Show. To be fair, it's not as though the boys in the newsroom aren't busy. There's this season's fantasy baseball league to set up and it's March already!
