After finishing his sentence for assaulting a waitress, Boardwalk manager Thomas E. Beckering has decamped to Florida. According to my sources Beckering has permanently moved to the Sunshine State. Whether or how he will continue to manage The Boardwalk apartment-office complex and other local companies he owns, including American Seating Park and Pioneer Incorporated, is not known.
What is known is that Beckering reduced his role in Pioneer Incorporated to the office of chairman and has turned over daily management to others. Beckering's grandfather founded the construction company, which recently became involved in large urban redevelopment projects in Grand Rapids such as The Boardwalk and American Seating Park. Beckering has large partners in these projects. In fact, Beckering's Boardwalk partners Fifth Third and National City banks took over effective control of that project a few years ago.
Beckering was implicated by us in pending environmental lawsuits filed in Kent County Circuit Court and federal court. His departure occurred on the eve of discovery in the Kent County case making his availability for deposition problemmatical. No doubt a coincidence. However, my sources assure me that in the end the long arm of the law will be able to follow the slime trail between here and Beckering's new haunts down south.
are you people still active?

Hello C. Heiberger,
Our website remains up and active, we have just been awhile for quite awhile due to outside interests.
Many people continue to write us about previous articles and topics we covered in years past. We appreciate the continued interest.
I would advise you that we do periodically check in, but not daily as in the past. If there is something of specific interest, advise.
Regards,
Bridget
